Journal Entry #12 - Butler, Loudonville, Mansfield, Lucas OH

Tuesday 9/10/02

Day Twelve

     KOA, Butler, OH
     Starting mileage 90950 / Ending mileage 91028

Up & at ‘em fairly early. Tea, coffee, cereal (in shifts since we’re down one bowl) and chatting. Then David & I left @ 10am, while Dad & Elsie kindly stayed behind to dogsit. Since the weather

I don’t remember what I was going to say up there. It’s now 8:30pm and we’ve finished a spaghetti dinner with fresh produce salad. Dad & David are attempting to prepare a photo show via Dad’s camera & laptop & tv. Seems complicated.

Our day went about as planned, with our first stop at Real Estate Showcase in Loudonville. Met with Cherie, a very nice agent, who reviewed our wish list and will get started finding properties for us to look at tomorrow (10am appt).

We left her office & David dropped me off at the library to check email while he picked up subs & pops from the local Subway. I received & printed an email from Dave K re: his airline plans, and sent an email to Karin with details of our trip thus far.
What the dogs did when we were gone...
Then it was off to Mansfield to meet with the Coldwell Banker agent, Lynne, on Trimble Road. She was waiting for us as we arrived for our 1:00pm appt. After a quick review, we rode with her to a few locations, with nothing sparking except for one we drove by near Lucas that’s a little on the high $ end, but has all the external features of land, space, quiet road, etc. As for the house, Lynne will try to get us an apt to see inside on Thursday.

Had some fun shouting matches trying to connect with Dad on the cell phone, but never got a clear connection. We headed back to the KOA & arrived @ 5:00pm. We lounged awhile swapping tales of the day, cooling off with a beer because it was still hot. I started spaghetti water while the others perused the local newspapers.

Just ate some pie while Dad finishes burning a CD on his laptop.Techno-dad! David is staking down the awning because we heard there may be a storm tonight.

General consensus has it that [section omitted].  I’m pretty excited to be looking around at other things, and feel confident that we’ll have a great time with whatever property we get. Well, it’s 9:00pm, so we’ll wind down & head to bed.

End of Entry
