Before my journal begins a new life chapter,
I thought it might be interesting to tally mileage from the trip.
Start mileage 8/30/2002 - 88219
End mileage 10/24/2002 - 97231
9,012 miles
Not bad for a 13 year old Ford diesel pickup truck, two months,
and two ordinary humans!
Amazingly, we continued to drive this same truck and use it for heavy duty loads
and hauling until we sold it in 2012.
1989 Ford F250 diesel 5-speed. Bought it used in 1990 with 15k miles on it. Since I/We have always owned multiple cars, this was used mostly as a truck - hauling and towing. Sold in 2012 after 22 years with about 120k miles on it. Had it painted before selling and I think the new owner was going to baby it a little.
